Wataru Endō (遠藤 航, Endō Wataru, born February 9, 1993) is a Japanese professional <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/footballer">footballer</a> who plays as a <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/defensive%20midfielder">defensive midfielder</a> for <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Premier%20League">Premier League</a> club <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Liverpool">Liverpool</a> and captains the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Japan%20national%20team">Japan national team</a>.
He began his professional career in Japan with <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Shonan%20Bellmare">Shonan Bellmare</a>, before moving to <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Urawa%20Red%20Diamonds">Urawa Red Diamonds</a>. In 2018, he joined Belgian side <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Sint-Truiden">Sint-Truiden</a>, and then moved to Germany to play for <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/VfB%20Stuttgart">VfB Stuttgart</a>, initially on loan before making the move permanent. He captained Stuttgart and earned recognition as one of the Bundesliga's best defensive midfielders.
Endō is known for his exceptional defensive skills, tackling ability, aerial prowess, and work rate. He is a versatile player, capable of playing in central defense as well as midfield. He is a key player for both his club and the Japanese national team.
